Already transcribed videos are instantly available. Use our search to find existing transcripts before creating new ones.

Check video accessibility

Make sure the TikTok video is public and accessible in your region. Private or deleted videos cannot be transcribed.

How do I transcribe a TikTok video?

What TikTok URL formats are supported?

We support all standard TikTok URLs including: tiktok.com/@username/video/ID, vm.tiktok.com/shortcode, and mobile share links. Both the full URL and shortened versions work.

Why did my transcription fail?

Transcriptions can fail for several reasons: the video might be private, deleted, or region-restricted. Some videos with no speech or only music may also fail. Try checking if the video is publicly accessible on TikTok.

How accurate are the transcriptions?

Our AI-powered transcription typically achieves 90-95% accuracy for clear speech in English. Accuracy may vary for videos with background music, multiple speakers, accents, or non-English languages.

What languages are supported?

TokScribe supports over 50 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and many more. The language is automatically detected from the audio.

Can I download the transcript?

Yes! Each transcript page offers multiple download formats: Plain Text (.txt), Subtitles (.srt), WebVTT (.vtt), and JSON. Click the download buttons in the sidebar on any transcript page.

Are transcriptions public?

Yes, all transcriptions are publicly accessible and indexed by search engines. This helps others find transcripts for popular videos. We don't display your personal account information with transcriptions.

Is there a limit on how many videos I can transcribe?

Currently, TokScribe is free to use with no strict limits. However, we may implement rate limiting during high traffic periods to ensure fair usage for everyone.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid TikTok URL" error

• Make sure you're using a TikTok video URL, not a profile or sound URL
• Remove any extra text before or after the URL
• Try using the "Copy Link" option from TikTok's share menu

"Video is private" error

• The video owner has set it to private or friends-only
• The video may have been deleted by the creator or TikTok
• Try opening the video in TikTok to verify it's accessible

Transcription is taking too long

• Long videos (3+ minutes) can take up to 2-3 minutes to process
• High traffic periods may cause temporary delays
• The page will automatically refresh when complete - no need to reload

Transcript has errors

• AI transcription works best with clear speech and minimal background noise
• Heavy accents, slang, or technical terms may reduce accuracy
• Music-heavy videos or videos with overlapping voices are harder to transcribe
