Imagine a box that can never be destroyed. You place an apple inside it, and then you seal the box. For an infinite amount of time, nothing from inside the box can ever escape, and nothing from the outside can ever enter. The apple inside will slowly start to rot. After some time, it will completely decay. And eventually, when you look at it, you'll find that it has turned entirely into dust. Now, as we know, the apple contains a certain amount of energy, and energy cannot be destroyed. Over time, that energy will begin to emerge from the apple's dust. All that energy will fuse together, triggering a kind of nuclear reaction. With time, this energy will pass through every possible state. Once this entire process is complete, the energy will begin to reuse itself at a specific point in time. When you open the box, you will once again find the apple inside.
