If you're receiving VA disability income, you probably have the option to build a house for no out of pocket expense that you probably don't know. Here's how to do it. Get approved with the VA approved mortgage lender. They're going to tell you how much mortgage you can borrow. Next thing, you're going to find a builder that has done the VA construction permanent loan before in your zip code. Third thing you're going to do is find a real estate broker. They're going to find you a land that is on the market. Call any broker in your city that will take you to show you land. Number four is go under contract on the land. You're going to do your due diligence. Make sure there's no judgments or leans. You're going to close on the land and the mortgage at the same time. Then you're going to start the construction process. The builder and the lender are going to communicate and the builder is going to take draws from the lender to complete different phases until construction is complete.
