Here's Daelmo Feast versus Fabian Marijon and Marijon hits two great backhands and Moffees hits a short ball so Marijon is able to step in and he's got a short ball on his forehand. So a lot of players would be like okay well now I'm going to hit this forehand into the open court and follow it to the net but Marijon does something else instead and this is actually something you should copy at the club level. He hits his approach shot back at Moffees backhand and follows that to net and Moffees isn't even that stressed he's kind of on balance and set up for this passing shot but here's the thing and here's why this would work particularly well at at the club level. First of all Marijon just hits it kind of through the court versus off the court like this so if Moffees was over here he could hit his passing shot into the court like that there's more room for someone to pass you so if you keep them inside the single sideline then there's actually less of a window down the line and if they catch this ball late they are going to miss it wide. So at your level like that's going to happen a lot and at your level like if your accuracy is not always on point if you just aim your approach shot somewhere here you're you're way less likely to miss it so you're just you're just putting a lot of pressure on them to always come up with a good passing shot. So Moffees just hits this ball literally right back at Marijon and you're going to get that a lot and then what Marijon does with the volley he hits a good volley and it tails off the court and bounces somewhere here. Moffees still gets to it but doesn't hit a great shot. Marijon puts away but for you I would recommend hitting the volley short. Have it bounced somewhere here if you can get it over here great but again like if your volley is a little suspect just try and dump it over here short so that if your opponent is trying to cover this they have to stop and close on that ball. You're going to hit a lot of volley winners and if they get to this as long as the ball is below the level of the net they are going to have to hit up and so then you can you can hit down on your next volley and put that one away.
