Finished reading the Qur’an as a Christian and walking away with clarity: many of its scientific claims don’t align with modern knowledge—embryology, anatomy, astronomy—but that only reaffirmed my trust in the gospel. Christianity rests on history, revelation, and Christ, not on hidden codes or scientific claims. Faith survives scrutiny. #QuranRead #ChristianPerspective #FaithAndReason #ScienceAndReligion #TruthUnderScrutiny

I'm a Christian, and I just finished reading the entire Qur'an, and one of the biggest takeaways I walked away with has to do with science. Because one of the loudest claims I kept hearing before the series was that the Qur'an must be from God because it has no errors that if even one contradiction existed, Islam would collapse. So I took that claim seriously and tested it against modern science. What I found is that the Qur'an makes repeated scientific claims, not poetic reflections, not vague metaphors, but explanations about how the world works. And many of them don't hold up. The Qur'an describes human reproduction as coming from a fluid that originates between the backbone and the ribs. But biologically, sperm is produced in the testes. That's not an interpretive issue. That's anatomy. No amount of footnotes or reinterpretation changes where reproduction actually happens. Then there's embryology. The Qur'an lays out a developmental sequence where a clinging clot becomes a lump, then bones form, and only after that are the bones clothed with flesh. Modern embryology shows that muscle and bone develop together. An embryo is never a blood clot at any stage. Cells divide and spatuliize, but blood clotting is a completely different biological process. The Qur'an also describes the sun as appearing to set into a muddy spring. That reflects how the world looks from a human perspective, not how the cosmos actually works. The sun doesn't move around the earth and it doesn't set into anything. Earth retates. That's basic astronomy. These aren't tiny details. They're claims about reality. And if a book is the eternal word of an all-knowing God, it shouldn't reflect seven-century scientific assumptions that need modern reinterpretation to survive. And this didn't shake my faith. It strengthened it. Because Christianity never rests its truth on secret scientific codes hidden in verses. It rests on history, revelation, and a resurrected Christ. Faith isn't afraid of examination. Truth doesn't crack under scrutiny. Muslims are not the enemy. They're often sincere people trusting the only framework they've been given. But love doesn't mean silence. And honesty doesn't mean hate. Reading the Qur'an didn't pull me away from the cross. It pushed me closer to it. Because the more I saw claims that needed defending, the more I cherish to gospel that doesn't need rescuing.
