⬇️Example answer script for “Why do you want to work here?” 🎯The answer is very simple. 🧑🏽💻You see hiring managers have a problem, they have a job opening. They have projects that aren’t getting done. They need someone to do the job. ❌The reason you want to work there is NOT because you like the company, or they offer a nice benefits package. And whatever you do, do NOT recite all the things you know about their company, “Well, I went on your company’s website, and I was really impressed with your mission and values and I love how you give back to the community” Don’t say that. ✅ Instead, tell them the reason you want to work there is because you can do the job. You can solve their problem. 👉Use this script “As you can see on my resume I have a proven track record of success in the digital advertising space. In my current role I grew our accounts 300% and we know sell 80% more. In addition, I made my department more efficient by decreasing redundancies, I saved the company money by auditing our current processes. I have done all I can at my current job, there’s no more room for growth so I am looking for my next challenge. I want to work here because I know I can improve your advertising department and make you more money.”👈 📘Follow me for more tips on how to interview buy my book Interviewology and get an Interviewology Profile to discover your interview style #interview #jobinterview #interviewprep #interviewquestions #corporate

When I ask you in a job interview, "Why do you want to work here?" "Do not regurgitate back to me my website. Do not tell me what my mission and values are." Well, I went on your company's website and I understand you do XY. No, no, no, no. I know that information. I understand what we offer employees. And that is not a reason that you want to work someplace. Listen, hiring managers have a problem. They have a job opening. They have a job that's not being done and they are looking for somebody to come in and do the job. That's why you want to work there. It's not because you have a great tuition reimbursement program. Don't say that in a job interview. No. The reason you want to work at this place is because you kicked ass at your current job and you want to do the same here. You want to save this company money. You want to make us more money. You want to prove in efficiencies. You want to do something cool and interesting because we are providing you an opportunity that you've been looking for. Do not tell them. I think your website is really interesting and no, no. Tell me what you can do for me. That's why you want to work here.

⬇️ Use this script in your next job interview to answer “What are your salary expectations?” Companies ask you this question because they want to underpay you. They are hoping that you give one number like, “I am hoping to make $70k” There is NO reason why a company should NOT tell you what the position pays and there is NO reason that they should make you tell them what you want to be paid BEFORE they tell you the range of the position. So don’t fall for it and play the same game by answering their question with a question or giving them a non-answer. 📌Use this script, Interviewer “What are your salary expectations?” You “ What is the position paying?” Interviewer “We really need to know what you want before we pass you on to the next round” You “Well, what’s the range? I am sure you have a pay range for this position.” STAND YOUR GROUND and DON’T PANIC 👉If they answer and give you a range, you can say “I am amenable to that range” or “That is the range I am looking for” 👉If they refuse to give you a range or tell you what they will pay you can say, “I’m very interested in this opportunity and I’d like to have this salary conversation after I’ve learned more about the role and the company.” If they threaten to not pass you on to the next round, great! You dodged a bullet. Trust me, you don’t want to work for a company that won’t in the least disclose their salary range. Good luck 🍀 #joboffernegotations #salarynegotiations #howtonegotiatesalary #careeradvice #howtonegotiatejoboffer #howtointerview #corporate #jobinterview #interviewtips #howtoanswerinterviewquestions #job #work

⬇️ There is only ONE answer to this question. I don’t care if your commute was an hour long with 4 transfers and you couldn’t find the office. DO NOT TELL THEM THAT! And whatever you do, Don’t go into a 10 mins story about how you got to the office or what directions you used. NO ONE CARES! 👉Trust meI got famous for telling you all what to lie about in job interviews 👈 🧠 A lot of people bomb their job interviews in the very first 10 mins during small talk portion because they reveal too much about themselves. A job interview is NOT therapy and it is NOT a date. If you share personal information, they will just use it against you because the hiring process if full of biases and they are looking for reasons to eliminate you. If you tell them the office was hard to find and that you got lost they will think that you are incapable. If you tell them that the commute was long, they will think that you will always be late. Don’t get eliminated by not knowing how to answer the easiest questions of them all the small talk questions. When they say, Did you have any problems finding us? You say, “Nope the commute was easy.” When they say, How are you? You say, “I am great, thank you. How are you?” These questions are a formality. ❌Don’t overthink it or try to form a bond in the interview. ❌Don’t do something weird to try to be memorable. 🤓In a job interview you want to be remembered for the right reasons, like your great resume, awesome qualifications and the impressive questions to ask at the end of the interview. 👉Watch this @Anna Papalia for 3 Impressive Questions to Ask at the End of a Job Interview👈 💪Pro-tip- if you hate it when job interviews feel like a firing squad, like the hiring manager is just asking you question after question after question. You can make is more conversational by asking them questions throughout the job interview. ❌Don’t reserve all your questions for the end. ✅A job interview is a two-way street you should be interviewing them as much as you they are interviewing you. 👉Watch this @Anna Papalia to practice standard interview questions 👈 #jobinterview #interviewtips #corporate #career #unemployed #smalltalk #howtoanswerinterviewquestions
