When they say, “We will let you know”… at the end of an interview

when they say we will let you know at the end of an interview it means they're either buying time because they're interviewing other candidates or as a soft note and it's just a way for them to be polite so what you'll say is can I expect to hear from you next week and if they still are vague you're going to do two things these are the two things I tell my clients number one send a thank you note after the interview so what should I say to thank you know what should us send a thank you note it's a part of a strategy Jen actually know about it I know you know but we were taught to say thank you it's a great way to position yourself to stay on top of the mind of the interviewer and it's also a way for you to follow up so you will follow up to that by saying you know within three to five business days after your interview you can send an email after you send that thank you email and say I'm following up on next steps are there any updates regarding my interview so don't leave it up to them you need to follow up and you should be hearing back for them within three to five business days
