(phone rings) (phone rings) - Hello. - Hey, Alexandra. It's Eric Finch calling about the open SDR position at Salesforce. How are you? - I'm fine. How are you? - I'm doing good. Hey, I know I caught you completely out of the blue. I actually just applied to the role this morning and I wanted to reach out specifically. I'm transitioning from an engineering career and making a long story short. It was a student athlete in college. I've been an engineer for the last two years and that competitive itch is not being scratched. So I'm interviewing with a couple companies and honestly, specifically, Salesforce stands out because of what an emphasis you put on training new graduates with no experience. I've seen a couple SDRs with no experience that within a year and a half are already account executives. But anyway, before I get too long-winded, I just wanted to reach out directly, see if we could even maybe find a time on Wednesday to connect further for 30 minutes if that's something you're open to. - You know, Eric, thanks for reaching out. I'm really glad you're interested in this role, but I honestly am too busy to have one on one with any every candidate that's interested in applying. So I really don't feel like I have the time to do this. If somebody from, if you're a big candidate, somebody from HR will reach out to you with next steps. - No, I appreciate that. I'm sure you guys two are looking for the best of the best and I know obviously if you took a conversation with everyone that that would be way too much, you wouldn't even be able to do your job. I guess, you know, I don't know. Maybe you're getting a lot of cold calls about the role, but my ask would be if I'm one of the few people that have reached out to you via cold call and you like what you've heard about my background, what's a way maybe we could either connect further to better learn about it, or maybe you'd even be willing to refer me to the recruiter. - Yeah, I mean, you mentioned a little bit about your background. I guess one step that I can do is if you could send me your resume and maybe a cover letter, I can do a quick review and maybe that could be a good place to start from. - Sure, sure, yeah, and maybe even to streamline it, maybe it's too much to ask, but if you even had 15 minutes available, we could just do that in one go. And again, not expecting that it's an interview or anything, but I'd love to even just pick your brain on what I could do the best position myself at Salesforce. - Yeah, yeah, let's set up some time to do that. That sounds good. - Okay, awesome. Yeah, I don't know, it looks like I'm just looking, Alexandra [email protected] is your email. Is that the best place to send you an invite for Wednesday afternoon at three Eastern? - Yep, that works for me. - Okay, awesome, well thanks. Again, I know I caught you out of the blue. I definitely don't want to be a burden here and waste your time. I'm sure you have to deal with a lot of candidates. So, you know, my goal in reaching out was to prove to you that I'm a top 1% candidate and looking forward to talking more on Wednesday. - Yeah, sounds good, me too.
