🧠👃 Could improving your sense of smell improve your memory by over 200%? At the University of California Irvine, neuroscientist Michael Leon led a groundbreaking study on something called olfactory enrichment — also known as smell stimulation therapy. Here’s what they found 👇 In the study, adults ages 60–85 were exposed to 7 different scents (rose, orange, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, rosemary, and lavender) using a diffuser in their bedroom at night. ✨ Just ONE scent per night ✨ 2 hours during sleep ✨ For 6 months The results? 📈 Participants showed a 226% improvement in memory performance compared to the control group. 🧠 Brain imaging revealed improvements in the uncinate fasciculus — a white matter pathway that connects directly to the hippocampus (your memory center). Why this matters: Your sense of smell has a direct connection to the hippocampus, the area of the brain affected early in Alzheimer’s disease. Unlike sight or sound, smell bypasses several processing steps and goes straight to memory circuits. This makes smell stimulation one of the most direct, non-invasive ways to activate memory networks. Other research supports this connection: • Smell loss is one of the earliest predictors of cognitive decline • Olfactory training has been shown to improve odor discrimination and memory performance • Stronger smell function is associated with lower dementia risk How to try it at home: 🌿 Choose 5–7 natural essential oils 🌿 Use one scent per day (rotate them) 🌿 Diffuse for 1–2 hours (especially in the evening or during sleep) 🌿 Be consistent for several months This is simple, low-cost, and science-backed brain stimulation. Your nose might be one of your most powerful Alzheimer’s prevention tools. 👃🧠 Follow for more evidence-based brain health strategies. #BrainHealth #AlzheimersPrevention #Alzheimers #alzheimersawareness #SmellTherapy

Do you want to boost memory by up to 200% or more than try this? Hey, all my hand with a plan to prevent Alzheimer's. I am a nurse with a high genetic risk of Alzheimer's and my dad has a diagnosis. If you find this information helpful or you want to learn more about brain health Alzheimer's prevention and risk mitigation, make sure you are following me and click any of the buttons. So there was a recent study and I've done a video about this several weeks ago when it first came out. There's a neuroscientist Dr. Michael Leon that has been studying sensory stuff for years. Anyways, there was recently a six-month study done with adults ages 60 to 85 and what they did was they split them into two groups. The first group every night they were exposed to different scents for two hours nightly and those scents were essential oils like rose lavender peppermint lemon orange eucalyptus rosemary I think yeah and they were rotated weekly. Group B did not have that. They did cognitive testing before this study and then again after in addition to MRIs and what they found was an improvement in the group that had the smell stimulation therapy at night while they slept there was an improvement by 226% in their memory and cognitive function which is incredible. So I don't know if you guys are familiar with similiaids but they smell wine for a living. There have been studies on them as well that they have a much lower risk of Alzheimer's dementia and cognitive decline in the area of their brain which is the hippocampus that is the memory center of the brain is actually larger than the average brain significantly larger. This research shows significant memory improvements and and enhanced brain connectivity. So this is a non-invasive way to boost your brain health. Another fascinating fact is your sense of smell where it leads to is directly into the hippocampus and the hippocampus is your memory center. It's the only sense that has that direct pathway to straight to your memory center. All your others have to be redirected before they hit your brain so your vision you're hearing your touch all that is redirected but your sense of smell goes straight into your hippocampus and that's really important for you to understand. So if you have an oil diffuser try this at night put it right by your on your night stand and start doing some smell stimulation therapy. I have a waterless oil diffuser in my TikTok shop if you're interested but and I'll add some more but yeah try that easy affordable effective. Thank you very much.
