I've been talking to this guy on Hinge and on my Hinge profile my name is Jezebel with an exclamation point. We have a messaging and he messages me and he said, "By the way, I love the punctuation in your name." And I said, "Oh, things." That exclamation point is actually my last name. He said, "What were you trying to communicate with the exclamation point?" And I said, "What do you mean?" And he said, "Oh, I don't know. I just feel like Jezebel with an exclamation point is a Jezebel who's like fun and wants to go dancing and get coffee versus a Jezebel with a period at the end is a Jezebel who like is pragmatic and wants to be up at 6am to watch the sunrise." And then he's like, both Jezebel's are good Jezebel's though. He sends three different messages, right? Those are three different messages. And although I loved like the thought behind it in depth answer of it all, he spelled my name wrong every single time. And I know that was so funny because it's like he's making a point to talk about my name but he's spelling it wrong. I responded and I was like, "Ha ha." And I said, "But can I just say one thing really quick? You spelled my name wrong in every iteration of these messages." And he responds and he's like, "Oh my god, I'm so embarrassed. I can't believe I made that mistake." And I'm like, "No, actually, it was quite endearing because it was endearing." Like there was something dear about it. Like putting all this thought to give different versions of who he thinks I could be. Clearly like putting in thought and energy into the conversation, but like every single time is by my name wrong. It was silly. I think it's really cute. I'm gonna say that. I'm gonna say that. So we'll see what happens with that. But yeah, the exclamation point really gets these boys talking. I always get, "Oh, I love the exclamation point." And I'm always like, "Thanks, it's my last name."
