Chernobyl did not explode by accident. It exploded because in the Soviet engineers they found that they knew more than the Philip. 26 April 1986. In the security test that had to be routine, it turned out worse disaster in the history. And the fault was not the technology, it was the arrogance. The operators decided to disengage the reactor in a correct way to test the system. The power began to rise and they entered a panic and dream of the control bars to interrupt this reaction. But there was a problem, the bars had a point of graphite, material that accelerates the reaction. The solution of emergency was, in fact, gasoline in the fire. For some seconds, the reactivity exploded, the fuel bars super-repeated. They broke and transformed the water of the reactor into vapor instantaneously, the explosion destroyed everything. The fuel was exposed, the fire graphite began to release the reaction directly into the atmosphere. The dozens of thousands evacuated, hundreds of dead, an entire city abandoned to 100. They knew what was the real mistake, they knew that the project had a failure. They knew that the bars could cause the use of reactivity, but they ignored it, because they trusted more in the system and at least in the risk. Think with me, when we ignore the alert signals, just because it was always like this, or because it goes right, you're not being confident. You're putting everything in a failure that hasn't happened yet. And Chernobyl proves that it is due to emergency, cover the price.
