I'm gonna show you how to tell what somebody is high on only by the look in their face and in their demeanor. Here in part 4, as an addiction therapist, I'm gonna show you the cues I look for in two of the most powerful and scary drugs out there. I already showed you opioids in general, but a lot of you wanted to see FET specifically. And yeah, there's notable differences. First off, it's more powerful, but shorter acting. It hits like a ton of bricks, bringing someone into that opioid half-consciousness almost instantly. Like other opioids, you'll see the classic signs, pinpoint pupils nodding off mid-sentence, totally relaxed face, and body, and what I call the opioid voice. With that deep, slow, and slurred speech from relaxed vocal cords, but with FET, it's all more intense. The nodding can turn into full-on unresponsiveness. They may look asleep or out cold while still upright. Sometimes they'll be fully slumped over with the scary, deadweight posture like they've melted into the spot. That's when it gets dangerous, where the breathing slows way down or even stops. So yeah, it may look similar to age or oxy at first glance, but the speed, intensity, and risk are on a whole other level. Now, let's take a trip into the strange and intense. Let's just call them salt baths. These designer drugs blew up in the 2010s, mainly because they were legal and sold at gas stations and smoke shops before people realized how dangerous they really were. Salts are stimulants, often containing methadron, metholone, or other unpronounceables. The high is like ice or snow, but with a unique twist. Paranoia and psychosis hit fast and get worse the longer someone vinges. ER visits for wild and erratic behavior were way more common with this than other uppers. People on salts often show extreme agitation, aggression, and flat out terrifying behavior, explosive energy, jerky movements, and a total disconnect from reality. There were even reports of face eating, probably wasn't actually caused by them, but you can see why the myth stuck. All right, so do you agree with my tells and which substances should I do next?
