The version of you with a regulated nervous system is not a better you, she's an entirely different species, and I really need you to hear that. Because most of us are out here trying to optimize the dys-regulated version. Better habits, better routines, better discipline, and it does not work time and time again, because you cannot think your way out of a body that is stuck in survival mode. So let me paint you a picture and stay with me. If your nervous system was regulated, you would wake up in the morning without fear. You would have no dread in your system. You would simply wake up slowly and gently, just as your body was designed to. Imagine later in that day you go to a coffee shop and you're in a conversation with someone where they upset you or they say something kind. Instead of your chest caving in, or you reacting in a very poor manner, where you think about it for the next four hours, replaying the scenario over and over in your head, you simply just register it and then release it. Because your nervous system is regulated and knows the difference between a threat and just an opinion. Later that night you decide to make a decision, but you don't need three days to recover from choosing yourself. You set a boundary and you do not immediately apologize for putting yourself first. You rest without guilt, you eat without punishment, and you exist without constantly trying to micromanage how you were being perceived. Now here's where it gets interesting in what the series, what they do not tell women is all about. A regulated woman is unmanageable. She cannot be guilted easily and she does not over apologize. When you remove anxiety as the operating system from a woman's life, you automatically remove the mechanism that keeps us women small. This is something they don't put in a curriculum, because a woman who knows how to come back to herself, who cannot be destabilized by chaos of the world, and stops performing for a world that was never designed for her biology in mind. That's a woman that's governed by her own and that is something they do not want us to ever reach.
