Mom has her masters in childhood development and this is the toy she bought from my one-year-old. Whenever she buys her something, I'm immediately intrigued. Like, why did you pick that? Yes, it's cute and all, but she explains that she likes it so much because there's so many different things that baby can do with it. It's fine motor skills, like hand eye coordination, as well as counting and colors. Stacking, she said it's great for babies at this age because it helps them learn, but it doesn't feel forced. So it's more than just a cute toy. It's one that's actually going to keep them busy and will grow with them. So now I totally understand why she picked this out for us.
