Jenny works the night shift at a convenience store. Her coworker Jack is late for the shift change, and the news just reported a killer on the loose nearby. She's alone in the store getting more and more nervous. Just then, Jack finally arrives, but as soon as he comes in, he says his stomach hurts and goes to the bathroom. Jenny is speechless. She watches the news while waiting for him. At that moment, the door opens again. A man walks in, he says nothing. Just stares at her. His eyes are cold. Jenny feels uneasy, hoping Jack comes back soon. When the man checks out, he suddenly asks if she is alone. She immediately denies it, saying her coworker is outside. But the man says, there's no one outside. The atmosphere turns cold. Just then, Jack comes back from the bathroom. The man glances at him and leaves. Jenny breathes a sigh of relief. But soon, she's told to go outside to throw out the trash. As she steps out, her father calls, warning her about the killer nearby and telling her to go home. She agrees. But suddenly thinks of that strange man. The more she thinks, the more something feels wrong. She rushes back inside. But the store is empty. Jack is gone. Just as she calls out, a shadow appears behind her. It's the strange man. He's back. Jenny forces herself to stay calm and ask if he wants to buy something. The man smiles. Only then does she notice, there's a pool of red liquid on the floor. She freezes. The man stops pretending. He tells her to hand over her phone. Jenny panics saying he can take the money. But he says he already took it while she was outside. Just then, a phone rings. It's the boss. The man answers. The boss says he saw something suspicious on the surveillance and is called the police. The man's expression changes. He immediately threatens Jenny to go with him. She has no choice. As they step outside, the police arrive. Jenny is about to ask for help. But the man speaks first. He says the suspect is in the storage room. The police are stunned and ask him to explain. He says, when he was grabbing a drink earlier, he saw a pair of terrifying eyes in the freezer. That's why he kept asking if she was alone. He says he had already left, but something felt wrong. So he came back and found the male clerk had been attacked. To stall the suspect, he pretended to rob the store to lure the person out. After hearing this, the police don't question further and rush into the store. Jenny stands there stunned. She even feels a bit guilty. She quietly apologizes to the man. The man just says it's fine. Hands her a note, saying she can contact him if needed, then turns and leaves. However, when the police reach the storage room, they only find the injured clerk. No killer. They rush out and ask Jenny, where did that man go? Jenny looks at the note. Her face turning pale. It reads, if the police were five minutes later, you'd be dead. The truth is, the man who saved her was the killer all along.
