My life drastically changed when I started using makeup primer. And yours will too, if you have oily skin and visible pores like mine. If we have the same skin type, you might want to try a primer that's smooth, texture, and blocks oil for longer lasting makeup. Like this one from Dazzle Me. This is their super fine skin primer. This claims to be a matte primer with three benefits for oily skin, more blurring, moisturizing, and urban defense. It claims to have 12 hour oil control as well, so it should be perfect for oily skin and hot and humid weather. Let's put that to the test with a very greasy tinted sunscreen. I'm applying this after my skin prep, primer layers well, even on top of sunscreen. The texture is not too siliconey, and a little goes a long way. It blends smoothly and look at how much it blurred and mattified my skin. Now applying the glowy tinted sunscreen on both sides. I can instantly feel the grip the primer side has. And when blended out, the no primer side is clearly greasier, which we all know won't wear well in hot weather. The primer side is more matte and blurred, and it will wear way better because the primer creates a smooth canvas. It makes a film that blocks oil from our pores and causes makeup to separate. By the way, this is without any setting powder. Honestly, this primer performs better than some luxury ones I've tried.
