creating a weakness right here. It's creating like a flatness of my glutes. I want you to notice something. I was a massage therapist for eight years. So you know how we have bad posture like this. Actually, let me show you the real look. We're doing this a lot, right? So what's happening? So obviously my shoulders are rounding. My head's getting a lot heavier. Look in my low back. So what's happening is my tailbone and my hips are actually starting to go like this. It's a weakness right here. It's creating like a flatness of my glutes. But I actually feel more strain on my back 'cause now I have to lean back into it. And now you're straining your low back. Posture is the reason a lot of us have this pooch here. The reason why a lot of us have a lot of weakness over here. And why we get a lot of low back pain because we're putting so much pressure on these joints right here. And then don't even get me started on what happens with your neck and your head. The more you look this way and down, the heavier your head gets. And then you're gonna start going into something called chifosis. Our necks are supposed to be something lower doses, at least most people. And when you look down a lot like this, you're encouraging your spine to go in the opposite direction which think about your spinal cord. That's it there, that's bad. Watch what happens when I take a resistance man and go like this. First of all, I can always get a better breath when I do this 'cause I'm not crunched over like squeezing my lungs tight. My organs are actually able to do what they need to do 'cause if you didn't know, your organs are moving as they're functioning and you need to allow that movement. But you can't if you're stuck like this. But also, this took a lot of strain out of my low back because what's happening is I'm improving my posture and just that one movement already encourages my shoulders to come back to put my neck and my head in alignment and it caused me to tighten my core a little bit more and my glutes at the same time. So it's not like I'm weakening like this. I'm creating more of a stable foundation so my joints are stacking better all because I'm reminding my muscles that they can go this way too. You guys get a resistance band. Resistance bands are so cheap. I don't care if you have this one or a different one. I will say I do like this one though 'cause it's grippy. It's got the handles. You can ball it up and kind of like throw it in your desk so at work you can like take your time in a break and just like encourage your muscles to come back. But also what you're doing is encouraging more fluid in your joints called sonovial fluid. It's really good so if you get a grinding in your joints, make sure you're increasing the movement, the rotation. If you can't go back like this, just go to your in range of motion. You don't have to go like this. You're stuck here. Eventually you'll be able to pull back more and more and more and more and more until you can go all the way down. Something as simple as a resistance band can just make a difference. You gotta be consistent with it and just remind your muscles that it can stretch back too.
