Your vetting process with people should never end. The moment you see a pattern of behavior in someone, I don't care if you know them for a year or two years, 10 years. The moment you see a pattern of behavior in someone that you do not like, or you're seeing that there's a switch that's been flipped and they're no longer the person that you thought that they were, you should be able to remove them from your life because your safety depends on it. A lot of times, I would say that's like being sweet and being nice, they're not personality types. When you're interacting with people, with some people, especially highly manipulative people, what they know is that sweet and nice and doing favor, those are essentially them depositing in the bank account that is the odds relationship. So when they slowly start to reveal who they truly are, you're willing to kind of wait it out or, you know, it takes a while for it to balance out because you're weighing it against the performance that they put on when you initially met them. And so when people say, like, you know, all of a sudden they change it with a switch of what, that is the real, there was no change. That is what was hiding up under our last sweet and niceness. And I see this, again, like I work with children, so it's always interesting to observe, right? And a lot of these behaviors, when it comes to manipulative people and not all the time, they come from children who experience trauma, right? So let's say we're talking about a child who experienced neglect, they understand that in order to get what they want from the world, especially when it's not their parents or with their parents, they have to manipulate the people around them to get what they need, right? So you'll see them really play into that very childlike innocence, although like at 13 and 14, they have learned survival skills that make them sometimes dangerous to other people. So I'm saying because they've had to steal, they've had to lie and manipulate to get what they want and need. And a lot of times because they know how to manufacture situations around them to get what they need, it translates into adulthood. So you have to be able to understand that sometimes you have things that people want and they need. And what they're willing to do in order to get them is to cloak themselves in that level of innocence that they probably were accustomed to doing when they were children now that they are adults. So I say, I'll just say, your vetting process should never end. The moment you see a switch that you do not like, start paying attention so you could understand when you need to remove people out of your life.
