their detachment is a reflection of their character, not your value

I feel like one of the hardest things to come to terms with is the fact that not everyone feels bad for cheating you poorly. Some people literally move on like nothing happened. They aren't losing any sleep while you're the only one spiraling over the chaos that they caused you. And it's also frustrating because even if they do know that they hurt you, they often lack the emotion maturity to reflect on their actions the way that you do. So they don't actually see the depth of the damage that they caused you, because they prioritize protecting their own ego over actually being accountable. And honestly, you can't let somebody's lack of a conscious become your lack of peace. Her inability to reflect and actually care isn't a reflection of your worth.
