Allow me to explain the lore of the NFL draft, how it all works by such a big deal, etc. So this starts on Thursday and all 32 teams are part of the NFL draft. It's actually seven rounds. It goes Thursday to Saturday. But the first round is Thursday night. That's obviously the biggest night, the most media coverage, and then the media coverage kind of dwindles after around two and three. But from a high level, the way the NFL draft works is truly like checks and balances. Okay, we're going back to history class. They want the teams that were awful the season before to get the best draft picks so that we can have even teams. They don't want the rich getting richer. They don't want the best teams getting better. The draft order is set up one through 32 with the team who sucked the most last year getting the first overall pick and the team that was the best last year as in your Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks, they get the last pick of round one. So again, the point is to give the worst teams the most opportunity to grow and have potential. So your top five picks this are are the Las Vegas Raiders, the Jets, the Arizona Cardinals, the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants because these were some of the five worst teams in the NFL last season. Again, night one is going to be the biggest night on Thursday night. You have Roger Gidell who gets up. He announces everyone. The players come up. They get their new jersey. You see a lot of storylines with like the parents or the girlfriends. Some people bring a million people and then they don't even end up getting drafted night one. This year the draft is in Pittsburgh. So you'll see like the top draft picks will be physically at the event with their family walking a carpet. The guys who know they're going to get drafted night one. Also, with this coverage of night one, we'll typically get to see what's called the draft rooms. All of the GM's owners front office of all of the teams around the league are all together this night and they're on phones. They're talking to other GM's or trying to trade up and down in the draft. They're all talking who's the best available left on the board, all of these things. And once this room makes a decision, they call the player and they say, hey, how do you feel about being a Tennessee tight and whatever. And that's when you see all those viral social media clips. As far as the number one overall picked this year, it's just by hands down going to be Fernando Mendoza. He was a quarterback of Indiana and they won the national championship this year. Las Vegas is desperate for an actual franchise quarterback. Somebody who can stay there for years and get better and better. Also, the fact that his backup or just potential co quarterback is Kurt Cousins, who's like the same exact person. These two leading a locker room to me is like a whole different video, but I just find it so funny that these two will probably be in Vegas together. That's all for now.
