Come shopping with me on a budget of $80 a week for two people who cook all of their meals at home. All right, you caught me. I'm going to Myr for the third week in the row, but the sales are just so good. And I really didn't have a lot of leftovers this week. I just had some leftover oats. So I wanted to go somewhere where I knew the sales would hit. All the Myr's near me have a flash food section. I talked about this in my other videos. But it's basically like they're too good to go at for produce and other grocery store items. And I keep getting them each week because the boxes are just too good. This is the one I reserved on the app this week. It cost me $3.50 for all of this, which is insane. And that's not even the craziest deal I got in the store this day. The real reason I was here was because they were doing their seven-for-seven sale. Where if you buy seven or more items on the sale, everything is a dollar each. I got five pounds of potatoes for a dollar, a pack of four corn on the cops for a dollar, four pounds of naval oranges for a dollar, three pounds of yellow onions for a dollar, and you also see more items later in the vlog. Strawberries were also a dollar 66 each, so I bought two cartons. And by that point, I had barely spent $10, so I went ahead and filled up my cart with all of the rest of the produce I needed for the week, including veggies for salads inside, and fruit to have on hand for breakfast this week. Next up are protein for the week. I got a pound of ground beef, a pound of ground chicken for sheet pan chicken surema, a beef and pork blend for stuffed peppers, and then Tyson chicken was buy one get one half off. So I picked up a pound of chicken breast and a pound of chicken tenderloins. Eggs are also non-negotiable. I buy them every week. And almost every week, I also pick up some non-fat Greek yogurt. It's really great to make sauces with, but I'm also using it this week to make some jalapeno cheddar protein bagels. I picked up some cheddar for that recipe, and then parmesan cheese for both shepherd's pie and stuffed peppers. For shepherd's pie, we also needed frozen veggies, which was also on the 7 for 7 sale. And then I just needed a few pantry items. This prego spicy vodka sauce looked really good for stuffed peppers. I needed some chicken broth, and this one was on sale. Can tuna was part of the 7 for 7, so we'll use it to make sushi bowls one night. We eat vegetarian at least once a week. So I picked up some chickpeas and capers to use in a crispy potato kale salad, and the last thing I needed were some corn tortillas for chicken fajitas. This is how my cart was looking, and my total came out to $75 and 10 cents. Plus, obviously, that $350 I spent earlier, bringing my grand total to $78.60. Here's a look at our weekly menu. As a reminder, we always make dinners for double our household size, so that we can pack leftovers for lunch. And then we prep breakfast and dessert, and here's the full haul of everything I bought. I got bananas, lemons, two packs of strawberries, three pounds of naval oranges, three pounds of onions, five pounds of potatoes, some spinach, celery, two heads of kale, some mixed vegetables, four ears of corn, and then, of course, my big box of produce. I did film a full unboxing of this, so let me know if you want to see it and what my plans are for each item. Next for pantry items this week, I bought some chickpeas, some spicy vodka sauce, a can of chicken broth, white corn tortillas, and some capers. For dairy this week, I got a half gallon of 2% milk, some non-fat Greek yogurt, shredded parmesan cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, and two packs of cream cheese. And finally for protein, I got a dozen eggs, a pound of ground chicken, a pound of ground beef, boneless skinless chicken breasts, chicken tenderloins, ground beef and pork blend, and four cans of chunk light tuna. I'll link all of the recipes I'm using for this week in my free weekly newsletter, and let me know what you're cooking this week.
