Details of some items for the Pinup Bedlam release

Let's take a look at some stuff we've been working on for the Pinup Bedlam release on May 3rd. These two t-shirts and these two studded belts. These t-shirts were inspired by t-shirts from the 1940s, and each one has a different version of our ballet club graphic. For the fabric, we used the domestically milled, incredibly soft, lightweight, all cotton jersey. As with everything we make, these t-shirts were constructed and printed locally in Los Angeles. For the print, we decided to use a water-based ink rather than plastic all, because it absorbs into the fibers of the shirt, so that when you run your fingers across the shirt, you can't feel the print on top of the fabric. It all feels really broken in and homogenous from the first wear. For the referencing the characteristics of 40s t's, they feature single stitch construction, a mounted collar, and this new pinup tag, which I really like. As far as how they fit, I honestly couldn't be happier. I wear these t's day and year every day, and I love doing it. For size reference, I am 64 160 wearing a size large, which is my normal size. Since we got the first sample, there hasn't been a day that I haven't worn this belt. These belts are produced locally by HTC Los Angeles, and I'm very proud of that, because HTC items are made by extremely skilled craftsmen who have been making the highest quality leather goods in Los Angeles and Italy for decades. These belts are made from a solid piece of domestically produced vegetable retanned top grain latigo leather. This leather is soft and flexible, yet extremely durable, and ages really well, which is exactly what we were trying to achieve with our belts. Both belts are an inch and a quarter wide, which to us was the perfect size for everyday wear, because it's not too chunky and fits really nicely into almost any belt loop. The buckle and studs are really sturdy, made in the US from solid brass, then nickel plated, and oxidized for that soft silver finish. Each belt is studded and weathered by hand, which means that the stud pattern and aging will vary slightly from one belt to the next, making each belt unique, which is something I really enjoy. These belts in these T's are both based off of iconic staples of American vintage, but visually we were inspired by two main concepts in music and ballet, pedagio, meaning slow movement, and allegro, meaning swift movement, and each pair of these items corresponds to one of those concepts. With pedagio, which is this blue graphic and this brown belt, the color and positioning of the graphic on the t-shirt, and the winding stud pattern on the belt are meant to embody that slow flowing continuous movement, an in turn for allegro, which is this faded out red graphic and this black belt. The image of the graphic and the sporadic pattern on the belt represent that fast paced leaping movement. These four items are part of Bedlam, which is an expansion of the Frisco look that we released in January, so for the Bedlam release alongside the T's and belts, we are restocking the Frisco jeans and Frisco knit in their original colors, as well as a washed version of the Frisco jean and this gray iteration of the Frisco knit. All of these items will be pre-made and ready to ship for the release on May 3rd. Thanks for checking these out with me. I'll continue to post updates about the Bedlam release on here, as well as on the pinup instagram. Hope to see you May 3rd. Peace.
