I want to know the one thing that Narcissas absolutely can't stand. It's not you yelling at them, it's not you calling them out. In fact, when you do that, they feel right at home because chaos is their environment. What Narcissas actually can't stand is when they stop getting a reaction from you. When the argument doesn't pull you in anymore, when the guilt trip doesn't work, when the drama they're creating just falls flat, that's when you'll see something very interesting happen. They'll escalate, they might poke you even harder, they might get louder, they might try new tactics. Because what they're really chasing isn't the argument, it's not closure, it's not repair, it's control over you. Reactions give them leverage. No reaction completely removes any leverage or control they have over you. And the moment they realize that they can't control your reactions anymore, that's the moment that the dynamic starts to break. Once they realize that they can't get a rise out of you anymore, they will eventually have to look somewhere else for attention and control. Because without your reaction, their game stops working.
