If God created everything, then what created God? People always say it's illogical to ask this question because God always was and always will be. But then when you bring up the argument that the universe could have always existed, the counterargument is, "Well, that makes no sense." Something had to have created it. Okay, well then, what created it? God. Well, what created God? God always was and always will be. The point is for something to exist, it needs to be created and means that it has to have a beginning. Or something doesn't have a beginning, or it's not created, then it doesn't fall under time, meaning it's God. So there has to be a starting point in the chain of events. Because if everything was created by something before it, and that thing was also created by something else, then the chain keeps going forever with no true beginning. At some point, there must have been a first cause or first existence that started everything. If anyone would think what if universe is God, then that argument would not be illogical. But the idea of timeless creator sounds much more logical than a reality that came from absolutely nothing.
