Friendly reminder that if you live or are coming to New York City, the weather is officially nice so you can start doing day trips up the Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley starting from closest to furthest here are my recommendations. First, you're going to go to Grand Central and you're going to hop on the Metro North. You can download the app in order to get your ticket. It's super cheap, talking like 10, 15 bucks, and let's go to Terry Towns. Sleepy Hollow. What is there to do there? Sleepy Hollow has a great history around Halloween, but it also gets so crowded there that now it's probably the time to go. Great waterfront cafes, great restaurants, great downtown scene, great little main street, all these towns are going to have a cute little main street and a great fear. If you find that that's just a little too crowded for you and you want to go to another place to follow in the weekend, just 10 minutes up from there. Terry Towns, Sleepy Hollow is 45 minutes from the city, 50 minutes from the city, is awesoning. More chill, still waterfront vibes, still great restaurants, and amazing breweries. Not as crowded. A lot of people don't go there as opposed to Terry Towns. 20 minutes from there, an hour and 10 minutes from the city is peak scale. Going to be a little bit more busy as it's got more of an artsy vibe. Great places for art in the area, which I'm going to be linking right here for you to go to. And great kind of like artsy vintage shops, cafes, and of course the Hudson Valley waterfront views. 20 minutes from there, an hour and 15 minutes from the city is cold spring. I absolutely love going and teaking and going to vintage jobs in all of these towns, especially cold spring. Of course, you have the Hudson Valley views. I love this area during the fall for the foliage, but at the same time you just can't resist going out a little hike there. Probably the most popular place you're going to go to is Beacon. An hour and 30 minutes outside the city. On any weekend, you can get brunch, you can go to the art shows. Great thrifting in the area. I've got an amazing, let me actually just show you what I got. I got this framed Joan of Arc angry Bergman movie poster framed for like 60 bucks out there. To me, this is this is a gold. All right, anywhere in the city this would have been in the hundreds. Okay, just so you if you think 60s too much. There's also Mount Beacon, too little mountain you can hike nearby. If that's your thing and you don't want to be in the downtown area. Also, when I say downtown, I mean like Main Street, right? Because it's not like a club vibe. Finally, like two hours from the city is Piquipsy. A lot of people believe it or not commute and go to work from Piquipsy to Manhattan. Takes two hours. I can't believe they do it, but they do cool farms, wineries, definitely kind of like apple picking vibes in the fall. I mean, New York State apples are the best freaking apples out of any state if you ask me. And then you have the walkway of Hudson. It's actually there. So it's just super close by. Those are kind of like your general day trips. You're just like do like a little crawl all the way up the Hudson Valley. Make sure you're looking at the timed tickets so that you know when your train is coming because you do not want to get stranded out there in the middle of the night and go have fun in the upcoming weekends. It's nice out.
