So, after many years, Mercedes finally announced the replacement for the AMG GT63. And, well, the interior looks great. New AMG GT63 produces a baseline figure of just over 700 horsepower. However, if you need to accelerate from 0 to 16 under 2.5 seconds, the car turns itself up to over 1000 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque. Also has a top speed of over 180 mph and a weight over 2.5 tons. Tommy, how does it make this figure? Well, it makes this figure use in three electric motors. Yes, the new AMG GT63 is a full EV. Goodbye to half of you. But I still feel that despite the technology and despite the performance, we are missing that V8 raw. Well, AMG believe this would be the case and have programmed this car to have a sense of personality. I just take a listen to this. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It just sounds really fake. I don't know. Regardless of performance and power figures, the car is a very interesting looking car. You can see at the front it has this light bar. It also has a massive grille despite the fact that it doesn't need this grille. And on the rear we have these afterburner style tail lights. They kind of look like nuclear warning symbols. Now, I'm very open to car design in general. But this one I'm kind of struggling to get to grips with. Now, there's a couple things I am a fan of when it comes to this car. One of them being the interior. I think the interior looks absolutely marvelous. Although there is an overload of screens and also I love the amount of aerodynamic work that's gone into this car to make sure it's as efficient while still providing as much downforce as possible. So not only do you have an extendable spoiler, you have for the first time ever or at least first time icing on a road car, an extendable diffuser that should increase things like top speed and downforce. Mercedes AMG are telling us that the driving experience will still be next to none. You control knobs in the interior of the car, allowing you to change things like the angle of slip on the car's rear, especially short in or length in the wheelbase, allowing you to either have oversteer or understeer, and you can also change the response of the pedal. I have no doubt this would be a fun car to drive, but is it in the nature of AMGs? We've seen Porsche begin to back pedal on their EV promises. What do you think of the new AMG GT63? Is it hideous or is it beautiful? And do you think this artificial V8 sound is something you would enjoy?
