If I was a penultimate year, university student right now, here's everything I do to secure a summer internship. Before I get into it, hi, I'm Cloud, I'm a current management consultant and previous investment banking recruiter, and my mission here is to democratize all this information so that you have a fair chance at breaking into competitive industries. First thing I do, immediately I would make an application spreadsheet and use websites like the Bright Network to populate the spreadsheet. I would then use the spreadsheet as my single sources truth to track all my applications and deadlines and make sure that I have visibility of everything. Number two, I'll then start drilling numerical, verbal and critical reason tests with websites like job test prep and a few others to make sure I'm super ready for that first round of assessments. I'll then start practicing industry-specific assessments. For example, for consulting, I'll start drilling case studies and potentially using websites like my consulting offer and others to help me with this. Next, I'll start reaching out to people either in my course or my wider friend group that are also applying to same industries as I am so that I can rely on a peer group and also have a place to knowledge share. And last but not least, I would follow CLOSED you to make sure I am up to date with all her application tips.
