I don't know a lot of things, but I know I've picked a good man to be my husband. The way you're treated becomes who you are, and it's because of that that I've only been better since I met him. I've always been the type to question everything, but I've never wondered if I'm spending my life with the right person. I've never thought twice about whether or not our kids will have an amazing dad or a wonderful life, because I already know with certainty that we will. These have already begun with just the two of us. But as long as he's here, we will be loved and protected, and as long as I'm here, so will he. There's a real sense of calm that comes with knowing for sure you chose right. A constant sense of relief, no matter what else is going on around you. The way our house only really feels like home when he's home. And I don't think I tell him that enough. Life gets busy and very loud and distracting, and on some days, very, very hard. But being married to him is never the hard thing. It's the reason the hard things get easy again eventually, and far quicker than they would have without him. I have become so much more aware of my worth because he makes it clear to me every single day. Quiet moments all the time that make me say to myself, I knew it. A strong sense of pride that I knew I chose right. Like the universe nods back at me on a daily basis with the same warmth that he does every time.
