Family or future…

Family or future? To be or not to be? I used to think you could have both stay close to the people you love and still become who you want to be but life isn't that generous not where I come from at least there you choose stay and lose yourself or leave and lose everything else so I left but my heart didn't now I crave morning coffee with tata my mother's hug the smell of fresh manaish then I remember I chose this so what am I now an immigrant an expedite a foreigner a guest everywhere a daughter nowhere so where do I belong? Family or a future maybe no one truly gets both maybe nostalgia is the only home I have left.
