Hey, where's all my millennials that remember that shift from like being raised in the 2000s and integrated like diverse spaces Where it just felt like the racism wasn't as bad wasn't as loud as it is now We genuinely believed that we're moving the right direction. No bomb was just like the icing on top and then by like Trayvon happened like I'm class of 2013 So Trayvon happened around time on 17 and then from like that point on it was like whoa what the fuck going it by 2015 We all kind of snapped. I don't know if you are remember like 2015 and 2018 I was in fucking environmental protests police protests nigga. We was at all the protests We was doing all the fundraising part of all the grassroots movements into the burning movement was here So I remember Trump came on the scene. It just fucked our head up because we thought them type of white people was like Them niggas was like under a rock like we didn't think they had that much power and influence over the country and then about 2020 2021 a lot of us started throwing like post George Floyd and BLM like a lot of us kind of throwing the fucking towel Like I brought this is what it is because this is not what we was raised to believe this shit was gonna be bro Like we was raised to believe that these races were a small percentage. We didn't think that they were potentially majority of the country And then we give them the fucking white house like it it really fucked with a lot of us And I will never forget that like I was so politically active 2015 to like 2018 because we just couldn't fathom the country Will is raised in moving in that direction and now what is like the norm of this country is the polar opposite of what we Was raised the polar and I'm not gonna act like my household. We're very pro black. I was always raised about this Yeah, I already knew about fucked up shit racism systemic racism all that But I genuinely believe that we were at least starting to move in the right direction and then yet at 2015 to 2018 window I was I ain't never been that fucking politically active in my life And I ain't ever been a part of somebody protest fundraisers and then about 2020 brothers is like man Fuck all this shit even with the George Floyd shit because it was like you watch all these corporations capitalize All of it and make their money and then move on we watched black lives matter movement get co-oped by fucking corporations and and the people that turned it into their own little thing and they all profited off of it and scammed us and now we Dog if it fucked with us bro if fucked with that's why I feel like a lot of people my age Which is kind of nihilistic about all of it like but you're not gonna see me at no protest You're not gonna see me at none of this shit, bro. I couldn't believe bro I couldn't believe how fucking far back we fell in the amount of protesting and organizing with you from 2015 to 2018 All got erased it all got erased bro every movement got co-opted or just fucking deleted And I just won't ever forget like this shift, bro. It was mind blowing
