A few years ago, I had a pretty large conversation with my father about the fact that “I’d never really failed at anything spectacularly in my life.” And I think that says more about the things I’ve chosen to do with my life than it does about me. Because I’ve pretty much always picked challenges that I felt I already had a head start on. Cannes Lions is the first time that’s not true, I’m at massive risk of it all blowing up in my face and not getting the ROI that I’ve envisioned in my head about it, but I’m going anyway.
