From the futuristic skyline of Shanghai to the hidden cliffside temples of Wangxian Valley, and standing face to face with history in Beijing. Every stop felt like a completely different world, yet somehow it all fit together perfectly into one unforgettable journey. So I've just got back from two wild weeks in China and honestly this place blew my mind. Hands down one of the most insane countries I've ever been to. And I'm about to show you exactly why I think you need to go along with a full two week itinerary we followed. Before we dive in quick head up, China is huge, like you could spend a year here and not even scratch your surface, but if you've only got two weeks this trip is an absolute banger of a starting point. So here's the two week hortinerary. Day 1 to 4, Zhang Zhiji, we flew straight into Zhang Zhiji and mate what an intro to China. Day 1, head up Tianmen Mountain on one of the world's longest cable cars. You'll find the famous stairway to heaven, dramatic cliffside walkways, cable list and even a temple right at the top. Day 2, visit the other side mountains, yet these actually inspired the floating mountains of Pandora in the movie. Take the world's largest outdoor elevator and walk through some of the most surreal scenery you'll ever see. After that, head to the 72 Wanda Tower for the night time, a spot full of quirky architecture, interesting little corners to explore. I mean check this place out, this is definitely best in the evening once it's little and even as free shows that are worth checking out. Day 3, face your fear of heights and take the highest and longest glass bridge in the world before ziploning down and heading to Balfeng Lake for a more chilled out vibe. Day 4, take a one hour train to Fen Huang Ancient Town. This place inspired Kung Fu Panda gives you a glimpse into a more traditional side of China and properly comes alive at night with glowing lanterns and riverside views. Day 5 to 8, Shanghai. Flying to Shanghai spent four days exploring, hit up the Bund, shop around Nanjing Road, Wanda Yu Garden, and if you're into theme parks, don't miss Shanghai's Disneyland, it's wild. Day 9 to 10, Wang Jian Valley, catch a two and a half hour bullet train to Shanghai, then take a shuttle bus or attack to Wang Jian Valley, trust me, thank me later. This was hands down the most favourite part of atro. It's incredible both day and night so much to see. Definitely one of those places you need to see in person, it feels straight out of a fantasy film. Day 11, do all that in reverse and head back to Shanghai for one more night to recharge and eat more food, obviously. Day 12 to 15, Beijing, last stop. Visit the largest universal studios in the world, which is absolutely incredible. Seeing a Harry Potter world in China, blew my mind. The next day, make sure you visit the great wall of China, this is one of the seven wonders of the world, and you can't visit China without seeing the great wall. Whilst here, make sure you grab some peaking duck, so peaking was actually the name of Beijing before it was called Beijing, so you can't be in peaking and not eat peaking duck. All right, all right, so it ended up being just over two weeks, but come on, tell me that wasn't worth it.
