And when I tell you, I genuinely don't know what I would do without TikTok sometimes, like I genuinely learn so many things on this app. Let me tell you what I learned today. Okay, so I've been trying to put together my wardrobe, you know, I've been trying to wear more adult clothing and have better outfits, discover my style, that sort of thing. So when you look up, you know, how to put a wardrobe together, everyone will tell you you need basics. You need basics, you need basics, you need basics. Like that's what everyone says, right? And I've been trying to put together, you know, some basics in my wardrobe so far. And today, you know, I had that itch to buy some new clothes. So I was like, you know what, let me go back on TikTok and look up, you know, what I need for my wardrobe, let me look up some pointers, whatever, whatever. I come across a TikTok of this girl who's doing a little series on basically how to improve your wardrobe. And I've watched so many TikToks with people trying to, you know, instruct you on how to build a wardrobe. But today, today something clicked, right? So I'm watching this girl's TikTok. And she's like, of course, the same thing that everyone else says, you got to buy basics, you need to have good basics, right? But then she said something else, she dropped a gem in there. She said, when you are buying basics to buy your basics, buy color. Okay, so when you are shopping and you need to go, you know, you need a t-shirt, you need jeans, whatever, buy them all the same color. And you start with one color. And once you have all pieces from that color, you move on to the next one. So she started with black, right? So she bought a black t-shirt, a black long sleeve shirt, black jeans, black pants, a black hoodie, a black sweater, a black jacket, black shoes, black socks. Until she was done buying all of the basics in the color black. And then she moved on to the next color. When I tell you some people on here, our secret geniuses is actually crazy. So you know what I did today? I bought a whole bunch of basics in the color black. And I didn't realize how many pieces I was missing for my wardrobe. Can you believe I never had some straight black jeans? Like straight cut black jeans. I don't have those. I have them now as I bought them today. But when I started evaluating what I had by color, I realized, damn, I'm missing a lot of stuff. But also why has no one else set this? So yeah, just notes, 20s, 26s. Just watch out. Just watch out. Y'all thought I'd just good now? Wait until I get this closet on and pop in, okay? But yeah, I just want to spread that. If you are trying to build your wardrobe, buy your basics by color.
