China is often labeled as an atheist nation. In reality, their philosophy is centered on the concept of believing in oneself. They believe that only your own hands can change your life. This is why their work ethic is so intense. They treat labor as a sacred duty. As a result, you see a country developing at an unprecedented pace. They believe in work and that is how they build. Now look at Nigeria. To mark his 40th birthday, the son of the Nigerian president distributed 1 million bibles, not 1,000 jobs, not 100 micro-lones, 1 million bibles. Leading this effort was the Christian association of Nigeria, Sian, an organization that has existed for 49 years. For nearly half a century, they have held crusades while the country crumbled. They have engaged in 49 years of fasting, prayer, and political puppetry. Yet they haven't been able to pray the country into consistent electricity, food security, or industrial employment. Instead, we see able-bodied youth spending thousands of productive man hours distributing paper across cities while the rest of the world is building satellites and artificial intelligence. If each of those bibles cost just one dollar, that represents 1 million dollars that could have empowered 500 women or funded small businesses in struggling communities. Instead, we are planting bibles where we should be building factories. We are distributing scriptures while children starve. Religion and politics in Nigeria are not separate. They are two heads of the same beast. One tells you to wait for a miracle while the other ensures you never arrive at a solution for 49 years. Religious leadership has anointed thieves and dedicated failed administrations to God, but not once have they produced a blueprint for sustainability or an independent power solution.
