my neighbor called the police on my house three times a week for nearly two months. The first time officers showed up and asked if I was keeping dangerous animals in my basement. I laughed because I don't even have a basement. The second time, they came because someone reported screaming coming from my house every night at exactly 2 a.m. I lived alone. The officers searched the property and found nothing. The third time, someone reported that I was storing stolen property in my garage. Again, nothing. At first, I thought it was a prank, but the reports kept coming. Every week a new complaint, suspicious activity, strange visitors, illegal construction. One report even claimed I was digging holes in my backyard after midnight. The strange thing was that every report contained details that sounded believable.
