How to tie an improved clinch knot, a popular fishing knot that many of us learned as our first fishing knot. First, thread about six inches of line through the eye of your hook. Next, wrap your tag end around your main line for around five times. I find turning the bait is the easiest way to get the wraps. Next, run your tag end through the loop created right by the hook eye. This should create a bigger loop. Finish by running the tag end through this bigger loop, cinch the knot down, and finally clip off your tag end. This is one of my favorite knots for connecting model line to terminal tackle.
