From Dublin III to whatever the heck this new policy is

Greta Tumberg just made a video where she was talking about how the European Union migration policy has been updated and this is actually very concerning. So as somebody who was a psychic medium, before I was a psychic medium, I had a master's in political science, specifically in a concentration European Union policy and the specification of the European foreign policy, European policy was foreign policy and internal security. And so I know an insane amount about migration, specifically in the European Union. So here's some little things that I really recommend that you actually know about. So the way that the European Union works if you're considering like the difference between the European Union as a super national institution, which is unlike anything else that you've ever seen the world, because it's not just economic policy. It's also the fact that the moment legislation gets signed in it technically is allowed to override any state policies that are in conflict with it, typically. And then if another country typically tries to go against the major EU policy, then a lot of talks have to happen and then it takes a lot of like pressure to kind of get them to change things, right. But the important thing here is that the recent migration policy is was called the Dublin Three Agreement, which basically was introduced around 2013, 2014 and had been attempting to improve an update, but it had been gridlocked. And I remember when I was in grad schools, around like 2017, 2018, and that time, people were constantly talking about the Dublin Three and how like they needed to update it because a lot of countries were getting a lot of pressure from being so overcrowded. And now mind you, there are still asylum camps in the EU in different European state countries. People live in these camps for like 10, 20 years. Okay, people are losing their quality of life, sitting in these camps. Okay, but the thing that they're now trying to do is they're trying to be able to deport asylum seekers to other agreed upon third countries. And we know for a fact that prior to this individual member states try to take things to their own hands places like Germany, which if you know anything about it, they had been paying Libya off to keep migrants in Libya. As much as they possibly could in order to lift on the pressure that European member states were having, right? This is really, really disturbing. I had the privilege of meeting a former member of European Parliament in Italy. Her name is Ellie Schlein. She tried to create a Dublin Four Agreement that was going to be more supportive to not be as much pressure because basically the initial Dublin, Dublin Three, one of the most controversial policies is whatever territory you land on first as a migrant is where you must register. And what essentially she trying to introduce was an attempt to essentially say when you enter a region, you're allowed to list your top three preferred countries. And then what you would be able to do essentially be moved to those preferred preferred country based on availability because they were obviously having a lot of issue integrating. The issue with integration though is entirely because there is a bureaucracy problem and the EU and Greta Tumberg had a really good point of saying this. The hypocrisy of the European Union, constantly talking about human rights is only for people that look like Europeans, whatever that means. And why I put this into extreme brackets is because the question of identity has always been debated. I know a lot of people like to argue, I remember when I was in Italy, they always call it like sanguine, right? Like the like blood quantum stuff where they're like, oh, well, like where you're from, where you're born is where you're from, right? And so as a Canadian, I had a Canadian passport, but I was born in Hong Kong. In the system of registry in Italy, there was no Hong Kong obviously because now it's China. So they literally, like even though my passport is Canadian, they literally put me registered down as where I was born. So they're like, oh, you're from China, which technically I am also from China, but the politics of like where you're from is really, really, really deep in these countries. And the issue with that is they never accept you, even if you are migrant, multiple generations, if you don't look right. That is their problem that has always been their problem. And it's always rights for me and not for the they do not care about human rights. The West has shown us time and time again that despite talking about their value and importance in human rights, they do not care about human rights. They only care about rights of themselves.
