People say there are different kinds of love. I don't think there are different kinds of love. There's only one kind of love. Let me explain. Love breaks you open. Whether it is a love relationship, being a parent, a friendship, something that you did out in the world that just opened up your heart in a way that was painful and beautiful at the same time. That is love across the board. There aren't different kinds of love. There isn't romantic love and parental love and friendship love and love of your playing an instrument and love of no. Love is an energy that opens you up and allows you to feel something that is beyond the physical and it touches on something spiritual, something metaphysical. It's an energy and when that happens to you, you know it. So whether it happens from you meeting somebody and loving them or them loving you and by the way doesn't have to be simultaneous loving each other. You can love somebody and be ripped open. You can be loved and be ripped open. It doesn't have to be mutual. Whether it rips you open because you're a parent and you look in your child's eyes or you see your baby for the first time. Whether it rips you open because a friend is so there for you. Whether it rips you open because you play an instrument because you dedicated your life to something because you helped someone in the street because you know giving of yourself ripped you open. Whatever it is, there's only one kind of love. That is the love. Across the board. That's the experience. I'll leave you with that.
