I thought the first Brazil match was rough, but wow, the second one was an absolute disaster. We saw eight red cards, four for coaching staff, four for Brazil players. This center ref was in her pocket all evening. Despite that, I actually think the officials only made three errors in calling this match. The first was not correcting the conflicting shirt color for Coach Arter Elias. This should have happened way earlier. Second, I think this place should have been stopping a promising attack on Gio. She already had a yellow card, and I think if she got the red card before the half and was sent off, that probably would have calmed everything down. Third issue for me was this absurd happening after after a final whistle had blown. We've got the ref charging over to give a Brazil player a card. Just so strange, abnormal. Real issue, though, is respect for the officials from the coaching staff. We saw Arter Elias get a card. First match, second match. She repeated the same inflammatory behaviors across both matches. It was disgusting to see, root to the fourth in the first match. And then in the second match, I just could not believe this moment where it puts a penny on the assistant referee. It was shameful. Disgusting hated it. Didn't leave the pitch. It's just no respect for the officials whatsoever. And guess what, when you start acting like this, it influences the whole rest of your team. Once he went off, we saw just complete chaos. We've got players, coaches leading the technical area. It was a mess. As a leader, you set the example. Other people are going to copy you, and they are going to follow you. And a good example was not set. I'm not saying the US played the cleanest game. They have ever played, but they did what they had to do to win. If you want to see more content breaking down the Brazil match, I have a full YouTube video on this. I got a podcast episode dropping tomorrow with Into the Channel.
