Why so many sevens? It's a great question. And you notice that when you're reading the story of Joshua battling Jericho, God comes to him and says, "I want you to go around the city once a day for seven days and then on the seventh day go around it seven times and have seven priests and seven trumpets." Well, one of the clear correlations with that is when you get to the story of Revelation, when the greater Joshua Jesus is leading us into the promised land of heaven and glory, you find in the book of Revelation all these correspondences. You have seven seals and you have seven angels and you have seven trumpets and you've got seven bowls of wrath. You've got all these sevens that come together and what happens at the end when God is about to bring the triumph, those trumpets, the seven trumpets sound and everybody shouts and all the wickedness of the world falls and God escorts us in to glory. So Joshua's pointing to Jesus in the ultimate battle.
