I asked Trot TVT to simplify my morning skincare routine into five products that are non-negotiables. Everyone should be using these in the morning, and this is the routine they came up with. Step one is a gentle cleanser. Trot TVT recommends looking for something that is pH-balanced and sulfate-free. This is the skin-fixed gentle cleanser. It's good for oily to combination skin. I'm on my fifth bottle of this. It's my favorite cleanser ever. I use it in the morning and at night. Next up is a hydrating serum, specifically hyaluronic acid, and they just so happen to mention this ordinary one. I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid, morning and night, but typically I use this after a toner, so the fact that I can't use a toner is a little crazy to me. The step is important because it's supposed to boost your skin moisture and prep your skin for any other active so that you're going to be applying in your skincare routine. Next is a vitamin C. This one is by Saravie. It's my favorite. It's 10% vitamin C. This is, of course, meant to brighten and even out your skin tone, but also protect your skin from any natural environmental aggressors throughout the day. Luckily, I already do all of these three steps, but I do them in a different order, so this is very interesting to me. Shot did recommend both affordable and more pricey options, but the Saravie one is just one that I continue to go back to time and time again. This is my fourth or fifth bottle. Step number four is moisturizer. Shot specifically recommended one with ceramides, squalene, or peptides, so I opted for the point of view with bit moisturizer. This is intended for barrier support, and it does have ceramides. Last but not least, our final step is an SPF, specifically an SPF over 30. This is actually SPF 60. It's by you to the people, and it's one of their new SPFs that they just released, so I'm trying it for the first time. This is honestly a really good skincare routine because if you think about your morning skincare, it should all be about protecting your skin barrier from the natural environmental aggressors that you'll experience throughout the day. Then your nighttime routine should focus on hydration and ultimately resetting your skin for the next day. Also, this SPF is beautiful. Look at my skin. Well, if this has taught me anything, it's that skincare can actually be that simple. The skin does look pretty good.
