While eating, the rich kid picked up his tray and threw it at the poor kid. He had always held back his anger, but this time he didn't want to anymore. Jack threw the tray right back in front of him, then kicked him straight to the ground. The two of them started fighting right there in the cafeteria. The classmates nearby watched but no one dared to step in, until a teacher showed up and broke up the fight. A few days earlier, to escape his abusive father, Jack had secretly moved to a small village. On his very first day there, he happened to run into Jim sitting in a car. His landlord told him Jim was the illegitimate son of a conglomerate chairman, and had been sent away here because of his background. The next day, Jack went to the store to buy some things, but saw Jim sneaking items out without pain. This immediately disgusted Jack. Little did he know, Jim had noticed him too. Jim went right up to him and asked how Jack felt about it. He said no matter what he did here, everyone always pretended not to see it, but Jack said the owner wasn't pretending not to see it. He was just treating Jim like he didn't exist. Jack's words struck a nerve and made him furious, so when Jack showed up as a new transfer student, Jim started giving him a hard time in every way he could. One day, Jack suddenly got a phone call and rushed straight to a temple. He told his mother inside to run and get out fast. It turned out Jack's father often beat both of them at home. One time, he had nearly beaten his mother to death. Jack had called the police just in time, and this time, he'd gotten a call from his father, saying his men were already on their way to find his mother. Only after watching his mother drive away safely, did Jack finally breathe a sigh of relief. That night, Jim went to the boxing gym and ran into Jack there. Jack asked him if they taught people how to kill here. He said he wanted to learn that. Jim thought he had to be crazy, just as Jack turned to walk away. Jim said he'd teach him, but only if Jack could beat him first. The moment Jack stepped in, Jim caught him completely off guard, watching Jim closing in on him again and again. Flashes of his father beating him and his mother shot through Jack's mind. Jack started seeing Jim as his father. And through punch after furious punch at him, the sudden outburst caught Jim off guard. The next day, Jim was asleep at his desk. When one of his guys came to tell him Jack was the son of a murderer, that his father had killed his mother. But this only made Jim angry. He got up and tore into the guy, humiliating him badly. Then he walked over to Jack and called him outside. The two of them went up to the rooftop. Jack played him a song his mother used to love, and explained that the man wasn't actually his real father. That man had been sentenced to death for the abuse. Jim didn't seem to care after hearing it. He said it had nothing to do with him, and that Jack shouldn't worry about what other people said. So the two of them made a deal to help each other rise to the top of this world.
