Everyone loves the Islamic dilemma or, as I like to call it, the apostate maker. We're about to see another avalanche of apostasy because every Muslim who learns about the Islamic dilemma and understands the argument becomes an apostate. I'll say that again every Muslim who learns about the Islamic dilemma and understands the argument becomes an apostate, either knowingly or unknowingly. If you explain the Islamic dilemma to a Muslim, he'll either understand that Islam self-destructs and decide to leave the religion, or he'll have to reinterpret and reject what Muhammad and Allah clearly say, in which case he'll become an apostate unknowingly because he still think that he's a Muslim. Either way, whether he knows that or not, he becomes an apostate. So welcome to apostates, Vildan, your population, you. No, what's the Islamic dilemma? The Islamic dilemma is an argument that can be formulated in various ways, the simple version I usually use goes like this. The Quran affirms the inspiration, preservation, and authority of the Jewish and Christian scriptures. But the Quran contradicts the Jewish and Christian scriptures on basic doctrines. This puts Muslims in a dilemma because there are only two possibilities. Either Christians and Jews have the inspired, preserved, authoritative word of God, or we don't. It's one or the other. On the one hand, if we have the inspired, preserved, authoritative word of God, Islam is false because Islam contradicts what we have on basic doctrines. On the other hand, if we don't have the inspired, preserved authoritative word of God, Islam is false because Islam affirms the inspiration, the preservation, and the authority of our scriptures. So if we have the word of God, Islam is false. If we don't have the word of God, Islam is false. Either way, Islam is false. Therefore, Islam is false. Now, I don't think Daniel's going to disagree with me when I say that the Quran contradicts the Jewish and Christian scriptures. So this debate will come down to whether the Quran does affirm the inspiration, preservation, and authority of these scriptures. If it does, Islamic dilemma follows and Islam self-destructs. Fortunately, understanding what the Quran says shouldn't be very difficult because the Quran claims to be perfectly clear. Law, according to the Quran, means exactly what he says. Surah 3 verse 84, "We believe in a law and in what has been revealed to us and in what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We do not make any distinction between any of them and to him do we submit." Muslims are required to believe not just in the Quran, but in all the revelations given to all God's prophets and messengers. And Muslims aren't allowed to make any distinction between any of these revelations.
