These are the only 5 places I’d recommend to first-time visitors in Shanghai—and 90% of tourists completely miss them. Save this before your trip.#tiktokgosummerfun #shanghai #tiktokgovacationfun #chinatravel #travel

I've been to Shanghai five or six times, and here's the truth. There are only five places that are truly worth visiting, but 90% of people mess it up. First, don't spend a few hundred when on the Oriental Pearl Tower observation deck. It's crowded and the lines are long. Instead, go to People's Cafe at White Magnolia Plaza, where you can see both the historic buildings and skyscrapers at a glance. In the evening, enjoy a specialty restaurant and take in the dazzling lights. Second, for great food, don't go to the Cheng Wang Mi Out Snack Street. It is not authentic and the prices are high. Go to Wangi Road Food Street, where locals eat authentic food. Third, don't take the Bun Sitesying Tunnel. You are just paying for light effects, and the experience is very average. Instead, take the Pujang Fairy. At night when the lights turn on, you can see the full view of both sides of the Huangpu River. Fourth, don't go to Wu Kang Road. It is very plain and underwhelming. Instead, go to Huai Hai Middle Road, where the viral giant exhibition is located. It is great for food, shopping, and taking very photogenic photos. Fifth, everyone comes to the Bund when visiting Shanghai, but it is crowded and packed. We prefer going to the North Bund, where there are fewer people and better scenery. You can also experience Shanghai's view at the Little Giant Cafe. Contact me for private tour in China.
