Why do you keep asking questions about the betrayal after I've answered them? Because based off of your answers and your defensiveness here, it seems like you're really still hiding more. Not to mention the fact that nothing has actually changed in our marriage. I've told you everything I remember. Yeah, your memory seems kind of blurry. You keep trying to change the story and leave out major details. You're acting like you're trying to catch me lying. I've already caught you lying. I need to know what else is hiding in there. Well, this is very hard for me. You've been keeping lives for so long that they are probably buried down deep in there somewhere. And maybe it feels hard to access, but it's your unwillingness to access them that makes you incapable of actually remembering and seeing everything. Well, if I see it, then I have to face it, which means facing your pain and dealing with my shame. That's exactly what needs to happen. And if we don't do that, then we don't heal. We don't create a new marriage together. If we stay the same, then our marriage stays the same. And as it currently stands, we're crumbling in on the brink of divorce. So it's time we actually make changes. If your wife does questions and you have nothing to hide, then you should take those questions as the opportunity to heal. If you can't talk about the betrayal openly and honestly with curiosity, then there's still parts of you that's hiding behind what you did and possibly things you haven't shared with your wife yet. Repair isn't possible when there's still stuff under the rug. You cannot be an honest person and still be keeping secrets, even if you've considered your secrets to be small. If you are honest, then you have been honest about everything. If you've received advice that you just share the big uglies or you share the big things that you've done, you don't need to share all these little small things, then you're not stepping into honesty and transparency in your marriage and you cannot fully heal.
