They installed jacks and rollers under the building, while people were still working inside. Then the huge building rolled slowly, along a curved set of rails. And each time it moved off one roller, another one was placed in front. And turned jacks were used to move the building along, as well as a steam-powered engine. And extra long phone cables were installed, so the business could keep running. The building pivoted, moving 15 inches per hour, so slow that the people inside didn't even feel it. And after 30 days, the building had rotated 90 degrees and moved 100 feet to its new place.
