Yesterday, some Roblox players woke up and were shocked with terrible news. On July 1st, Vietnamese Roblox players basically got the North Korea treatment. They now have limited screen time to 60 minutes per game and 180 minutes per day. They cannot chat with global players, Roblox Premium and Plus were removed, and on top of that, most popular games were completely wiped. That is awful. My friends just sent me something from there. What does this even mean? That is when it gets even worse. If your account location was ever set to Vietnam, you are now completely unable to go back to global Roblox. You are stuck there and cannot switch back. The only solution Roblox support is offering is to just create a brand new account from scratch. So years of progress just gone because of your account location exactly. And the company running Roblox in Vietnam called VNG has been described as a surveillance company. So Vietnamese players are now trapped on a government monitored version of Roblox with absolutely no way out.
