I'm not at all surprised that my parents were so impressed with the Chinese high-speed trains — this is always one of the main things that shocks foreigners (in a good way) when they come to China. But what might surprise my parents even more is just how many other things will amaze them just as much during the two months they'll be here.

So we've been on the train for about an hour now so it's time to get some feedback Brian. How does it feel to be traveling at over 300 kilometers an hour? Well, I've got no sense of it being that fast, that actually feels like just a completely normal train. Yeah, because actually it's only really the ticker telling you. It tells you. Yeah, it's like how you know. I have no sense of it when we were going on that speech yet. Yeah, you just wouldn't know, would you? I mean, some people have called me before, you can balance a coin here. Yeah, it will fall over. I don't really use the hash anymore so I would try it. Very easy to walk. Yeah. You don't feel anything, fish from safe to safe. Yeah, I mean, you can see Millie's just standing there. Yeah. I'm holding on to anything. Close to space. Close to space. Very, very comfortable, very quiet. Yeah. There's lots of children but there's no one swimming today. I didn't go this actually, but Nicole told me. This is like considered like a quiet carriage. All right. The apparently the other ones which are a bit bigger tend to be, you can use your phone or you can like chat room. This one's a little bit like she told me before. I got off to Canada towards the camera and stuff. She was like that. So maybe it is quiet all the way through the trains, but yeah. How does it feel to be traveling at over 300 kilometers per hour? Well, I think like Ryan said, can't feel it. I mean, it doesn't know you don't sense it. I mean, I can tell that we're going fast and I think I can tell we're going fast and I can't ever go on the train in the UK. But it's so comfortable and smooth. It is very smooth. Yeah. Right. I mean, we're just done just standing there. Yeah, like even on the metro in China, your wobble around, right? You've got a whole lot of it. But here it's like just nothing. Yeah, it's crazy. Brilliant. Yeah, and then I'm going to show outside guys. We can keep going through tunnels. Yeah, when do you get to see it? It is amazing. [LAUGHTER] What are the latest things? You're putting it in water, man. Yeah, they are. Yeah. There's loads of stuff on the train. They have like a restaurant, huh? Or it's like a kind of bar where you can go and buy anything, bring it back. And then there are also people pushing the cart. So this is the outside guys. I'm going to show you quickly, is the hill.
