Google Maps isn't just for directions. Search "toilet" to find the nearest public restroom, or "food court" for affordable food halls with tons of options and fast service. Two searches that will actually save your trip. Let me know in the comments if you have questions or want me to cover a specific spot. #japanesefood #japantravel #travelhack #tokyo #japantips

I'm Japanese, but if I were a tourist, I'd use Google Maps completely differently than most people do. Most tourists only use Google Maps for directions, but there are two searches that will actually save your trip, and almost nobody knows about them. First, if you urgently need a bathroom and can't find one, just search "toilet" on Google Maps. The nearest public restrooms will show up immediately. Second, search "food court". Instead of spending 30 minutes speaking a restaurant, you'll find a food hall with tons of options, faster service, and way lower prices. Perfect when you're hungry, but can't decide what to eat. Same app, two searches, two problems solved.
