This fish pretends to be a floating stick just to ambush its dinner. Meet the Cornetfish. The thin, whip-like filament isn't a weapon. It's simply an extension of the tail that makes the fish look even longer and more like floating seaweed. But that's not even the weirdest part. Its long, tube-shaped snout works like a built-in vacuum. It rapidly expands its mouth, creating suction so powerful that nearby fish are literally sucked inside before they can react. Cornetfish can also change their body color to better match their surroundings. They're so thin from the front that prey often can't even see them coming.
